Informal setting, semi open-air, lots of locals dining there, which we took to be a good sign. Rather a short menu but all local produce. Simple, hearty food, generous portions. They specialise in duck (they raise their own) and we enjoyed pretty much everything to do with ducks, including the foie-gras, pate and confit, though the chips fried in duck fat were less good, soft and rather overcooked the night we were there. As well as duck and variations on duck, various home-made burgers available (duck, beef or vegeburger) and our friend enjoyed his. Good selection of desserts including fresh-cooked crepes with a variety of toppings. Good local wine list at reasonable prices. Home-made liqueurs. Madame speaks English. Service is prompt and cheerful. Plenty of parking. Happy to recommend.
I stopped by chance at a long walk, and I was treated like rarely, and all of this with local product!
We arrived by chance and were not disappointed. large plates provided with local products. A very good local beer.Franberries with duck fat to fall on the ground. We also made our last holiday meal (10 adults 10 children).Cooked in front of us has braise, delicious pork sausages. From home desserts to lick the buns. And in the end, the boss who puts the bottle of plum on the table for the digestive!Everyone was delighted!
During our two bike trips across the voyage, we've been drinking here and eating ice cream. There's a fine terrace with choice shadow or sun, and the owner was very kind and clearly impressed with our e-bikes. She tried to talk to us about what went pretty well with her. For my 1/4 pichet rose, another special cooler was set up:
Super nice welcome. simple but big dishes with local products directly from the farm.We dine there 20 people on Thursday evening (swine evening) and we had a great evening there. the boss offered us a small house for the digestive (square on the table). The homemade fries cooked in duck fat, a delicacies...The boss told us all the farms or we were able to buy the different cheeses from the region (brebis, goat, cow) to take a holiday...If we return we ariège, it's safe, we go back...
