Brigs At The Park - Durham

On Saturday, I decided to visit this restaurant while waiting for my car to be repaired in the area. I couldn't make up my mind on what to order at first, but eventually settled on the waffle, 2 eggs (overhard), and bacon. The meal was incredibly tasty and left me satisfied for a few hours. The restaurant was very reasonably priced and I appreciated that gratuity was not automatically added to the bill.

This used to be a favorite breakfast spot for my family when we were growing up in Durham, but recent visits have shown that it has declined in quality. One hostess in particular greets guests with a lack of enthusiasm and avoids making eye contact. Our waiter took our order but never returned. My grits were served cold and the butter didn't even melt. The hospitality that used to be a highlight of the restaurant is now lacking. As a former commercial banker, I have seen this pattern before and it often signals trouble for a business. It's a shame to see a place with so much potential going downhill like this.

Haven't been in years. I need to add this place back to my rotation.

Waitress had great attitude, food came so fast and everything was great! 2 hr drive for those Pumpkin Pancakes!! Can't wait for Gingerbread Pancakes

I had there daily special omelette of the week. And it taste amazing!
