Ex-voto - Durham

The Barbacoa Crunch Wrap at this restaurant was absolutely incredible - one of the best things I've ever tasted! Although I personally didn't care for the spicy salsa, my companion enjoyed it. The queso dip paired perfectly with the chips. Don't forget to grab a Mexican coke for a truly authentic experience. Overall, highly recommend trying this dish!

This place is freaking delicious and we LOVE having them at DFH. Their COVID protocols have been amazing and we super appreciate being able to quickly/easily order online and grab delicious quality Mexican food to eat either at the food hall, take across the street to Glass Jug, or take home. The specials are always excellent, their hot sauce is magic, and the chips and queso are great. The hot cheese seal on the burritos is drool-worthy. There are some snotty Karen-type reviews below that should be 100% ignored…Durham loves this place. Eat a crunchwrap and your life will be better.

Crunch wrap is good. Mole tamales are not good. In fact. It’s closer to corn bread with canned mole sauce on top than a tamale. I’m sure the burritos are decent though.

Ex-Voto is a unique balance of scratch made Mexican food with a hefty pinch of American flare. These tasty dishes honor texture, flavor and quality of ingredients. For the love and care going into this food and the enjoyment coming out of it, the price point is low. You’ll be doing yourself a favor if you spend your money here.

Wondered in with my coworkers this afternoon in search of a quick but delicious bite before breaking for the winter holiday. Definitely was not let down with Ex-Voto! This was my first time at the DFH so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The guys we met were very friendly and welcoming and explained the menu items to us. We were sold pretty quickly, especially after seeing the photo of the crunchwrap, ha. Hands down one of the best food experiences that lingers in downtown Durham. The flavors? Exquisite. Presentation? Served it in style. Would definitely love to go again. Thanks guys!
