Halgo European Deli Groceries - Durham

Excellent little European/Polish Deli. The owners are very friendly and helpful. This was my first time here, they told me what a lot of the things were because I couldn't read the labels (in Polish). I went in for a sandwich, I left with an amazing sandwich, chips, perogies, pork sticks (extreme yum), and some kind of light traditional Polish dessert.

Great little polish market. The only place in the Triangle I could find that has pickled herring!

Fantastic ham sandwiches. Great meats. Old world old neighborhood atmosphere

Bacon ham sandwich. Went there on a Friday and they had no hot kielbasa sandwiches (don't worry, they'll be back next week). I was devastated. Then they offered to make me a polish ham bacon sandwich instead. It was quite possibly the finest sandwich I have ever eaten.

Go on Friday. The warm kielbasy they do on Fridays is fantastic.
