Local 22 Kitchen - Durham

This restaurant is a must-visit every time we are in the area. The quality is consistently outstanding. It can be a bit expensive, but the experience is definitely worth it! Be sure to try the appetizers, like the pimento cheese, jalapeño macaroni, or hush puppies—they're absolutely delicious! I can't wait to return! Also, remember to make a reservation in advance, as it tends to fill up quickly!

What a fantastic local gem! I wandered in off the street while visiting from out of town, and I'm so glad I did. The hostess seemed a bit overwhelmed, but my server, I think his name was Landon, was incredibly friendly and attentive. The cast iron pimento and Brussels sprouts were delicious, and the cocktails were simple yet full of flavor. I love the rotating menu featuring locally sourced ingredients! I will definitely be coming back.

The special pizza of the day was beef short ribs, and it was nothing short of MAGNIFICENT! They offer eight beers on tap, and you can sample four with a flight of 5oz draughts. After that, you can try the remaining four. Each beer flight costs $12. I took photos of the beers on tap last night, and there wasn't a single disappointment among them!

The restaurant has a strong farmhouse vibe, featuring a warm and cozy atmosphere along with plenty of outdoor seating. They offer an impressive selection of beers, a solid cocktail menu, and an excellent whiskey list. I give it five stars because the value is among the best in the area.

We wanted to have dinner with friends at a spacious local restaurant in Durham, and Local 22 was the perfect choice. The restaurant was busy, but not so crowded that we couldn't move around. I recommend making reservations. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Our server was fantastic and recommended one of their strong signature cocktails along with delicious entrée options. The ingredients for the dishes were sourced locally. The food arrived quickly, and every dish was absolutely amazing. The meal was great, the company was wonderful, and overall, everything was fantastic. Make sure to give Local 22 a try; not only do they serve delicious food, but they also support local producers.
