Orient Garden - Durham

Wow, it was amazing! The food has a gourmet taste yet is priced and served like fast food, which is super convenient. This restaurant already has an excellent reputation, so I should have expected it to be this good. I tried the General Tso Chicken, Pork Fried Rice, and Chicken with Broccoli, and everything was delicious. The rice was authentic and not yellow, which is essential to me. I know it sounds basic, but if the rice is yellow, it usually means a lack of effort in the recipe and possibly the inclusion of undesirable ingredients.

This is definitely my new favorite Chinese restaurant! The food was delicious and prepared quickly, all at a very affordable price. It was also the first traditional Chinese takeout place in a long time that really took my request seriously when I asked for it to be spicy. I appreciate that. Highly recommend!

This is the most consistent and fresh Chinese American food in Durham! I always get orange tofu, and it?s always great. They have many vegetarian options which I appreciate. The restaurant is clean, though they?re not currently offering dine in. Takeout is fast. Definitely check it out!

I really like Chinese food, and I regularly went to a very good place that is far from where I live, but it was worth the trip. There is a mall very close to my house and every time I passed by this Orient Garden restaurant I ALWAYS saw that it had people. The place at this time only offers take out service. Today when I was starving and not willing to drive so much to go to the other place, I decided to give this one a try. Wow! what a surprise! To start with, the prices are almost the same but with the difference that the quantity of food is greater. Chinese food is usually a bit greasy, but this turned out to be a lot less greasy. As it was not in my plans to go there, I did not order in advance and was afraid that the wait would be long. But not! only 12 min was enough. and another 5 min to drive and enjoy this rich and delicious food!

I had the General Tso Chicken and it was delicious food probably the best I found in the area. Friendly staff on the window. You can't go in if it's cold or hot, you have to do this. Otherwise it is definitely worth the money.
