Coxhoe Tandoori - Durham

Most expensive flavoured water I 've ever had. Was busy trying to eat my curry whilst simultaneously having to swim through the sea that seemed to leak from it. Meat in the special kebab had the texture of 3 day old dead badger (I suspect it actually was cooked 3 days ago... and may have been badger ... Chicken in the curries was about as tender as cheap breast implants (I know a girl who had some done once, to help paint the picture for you they were like super strength bricks! And the naan breads felt and tasted like they 'd been left on the worktops for a week. All in all I 'd give the same advice that I was once given by my School Teacher (she was such a **** BTW ... MUST TRY HARDER .

Waited over 40 minutes for COLD CHIPS IN COLD SAUCE. Got back home had to heat them back up. Not even fresh chips. Overcharged me of £5.00 I expected waiting that long for food to be hot and fresh and authentic. Owner need to learn some customer service skills! Why anyone should pay for bad food is beyond me and why I should wait another hour for my food to be correct. This food was fit for the bin only and left my partner very upset. Will not be going there again owner wanted me to share on Facebook too. Thanks.

After having a very bad takeaway from balti spice it took 6 months before I dare try another one but thanks to coxhoe tandoori I will be having take always again. amazing take away very tasteful and even the 1year old enjoyed it will be ordering again!

Very very disappointed in the meal we ordered tonight. We have ordered in the past and it was delicious those other times but the food tonight was actually disgusting. We ordered two chicken kormas and pilau rice but the sauce was very watery and looked unappetising and the chicken was undercooked to the point it was visibly pink so we could not finish the meal. It was not worth £16 we payed. Sadly, we will not be ordering from here anymore.

Absolutely beautiful experience! The chicken tikka masala was spot on, the onion pilau was delightful, and the naan was large, soft, and incredibly tasty. The chips were the best I've ever had. Overall, it was a fantastic meal, and I definitely plan to return!
