Comptoir Lyonnais - E Montreal

We had decided to try this place because of its proximity to an event we were attending. The decor is pleasant with natural wood and orange accents and there is a nice courtyard as well though the temperature was too chilly to eat outside. We had the fish soup, the gazpacho, the crab tartare, the fish of the day and the beef tartare. Three of us were happy with our dishes, the tartares were all good, the friend who had the fish was a bit disappointed, deeming it "ordinary", but she liked her gazpacho. I very much enjoyed the vacherin for dessert, a light concoction of meringue, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and "coulis de petites baies". The wine was good, reasonably priced and reasonably varied. Though the service was cheerful and personable, it was also very slow, though we suspected it had to do with the kitchen being understaffed more than with the waitresses.

Repas délicieux avec quelques agréables découvertes gastronomiques où nous nous promettons de retourner régulièrement.

Nous avons pris le repas du midi. Prix correct, accueil sympathique. Nous avons pris le boudin noir, belle présentation mais beaucoup trop salé. Nous n'avons pas essayé d'autres plats. La carte des vins est abordable.

Toujours un repas excellent ( j'y suis allée quelques fois) ambiance relax avec un petit foyer pour réchauffer en hiver, tres bon service et meme le pain est fait maison par le chef. Tout pres du pont Jacques Cartier pour nous qui venons de la rive-sud.

Nous nous sommes régalés dans ce restaurant. Non seulement la nourriture est excellente, mais elle est offerte à un prix fort raisonnable. L'alcool l'est également, particulièrement les apéritifs. Tout était savoureux. De plus, le service se distingue par la gentillesse et la courtoisie de la propriétaire qui sert les clients. Nous y retournerons assurément.
