Nevin's Cafe - Ealing

The coffee was decent, but overall, the restaurant is quite average and the service could use improvement. Hopefully, they will do better in the future.

I have visited this restaurant several times, but I was especially disappointed during my last visit. I ordered the full English set 1, but was served cold beans. When I tried to inquire about the temperature of the beans, the lady at the counter either couldn't understand me or was pretending not to know the reason. Frustrated, I decided to leave without further communication. After reading other reviews mentioning cold food, it seems to be a recurring issue at this establishment. It appears that they may be neglecting to properly reheat their food, perhaps to save on costs. After watching shows like Mystery Diners and Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares, I have become more aware of the importance of hygiene and customer service in restaurants. However, it seems that smaller family-run cafes and fast food joints near residential areas do not always prioritize these aspects, and often have a dismissive attitude towards customer feedback. Additionally, they tend to use their language barrier as a defense when faced with complaints, leaving customers feeling ignored and frustrated.

Avoid this place at all costs. Unclean individuals, filthy establishment, and revolting food. Charging an exorbitant 2 pounds for one piece of bacon is outrageous. These people are simply taking advantage of customers.

A lot of things to like- we both thought that our breakfasts (one veggie, one meat) were delicious. Unfortunately a few things weren't quite right- part of my meal was a bit cold, the staff forgot things sometimes. At least they were friendly and clearly trying hard- would definitely go back.

Thought I would try somewhere local I have not eaten before. Not a smart move. Coffee was good. Food was terrible. frozen cheap sausages thrown in the deep fat frier big pile of mushrooms thrown in the deep fat frier and covered in oil over cooked fried eggs cheapest plastic white bread bacon was good. Grilled not deep fried No napkin with food. English mustard jar (nasty own brand and rather old looking) put on table heaven knows how many people have dipped their knives and forks in there. Not surprised I was he only customer and next time I won't be there.
