For over 25 years I use Shah’s palace and after all these years it is safe to say that the standard has fallen significantly. starting with the first phone call to place their order for a delivery. it's like talking to a recorded phone message. the girl who answers the phone on Saturday night is as boring as teller water and talks like a robot, then the order is messed up. that applies to the guy who also takes the order. he's so eager to get from the phone that he messes up the order. from the last 10 orders before I stopped, they custom 7 were wrong and missing items, but unnecessary to say I was still charged full price. this is after repeating the order several times via the phone to ensure that there is no confusion. I don't want to make calls and go through a query and answering session if there is no rice or nan brot, then it gets sent out 30 minutes later when the rest of the food is cold. I just want what I asked and what I paid for to come as a full order. that brings me to “love”. the poppadoms are absolutely laughing and are more like a bag of smashed scratches in 100 pieces. I'm sure I'm not the only one that met this almost every time I command. eating is also far below the standards of what it was in Shah’s. there are much less huh in the main courses than what it was earlier. they are small amounts chicken with a lot of sauce. the Nan broth (if you actually get it) are hard and crispy and are more like a cream cracker than soft nan. a thing that will make sure that happens everytime loading the full price without checking the order is correct. no one checks the orders. all in all I am sad to say it, but I have begun to go elsewhere, where the order has been right every time, the price is fair, the eating was good portions of delicious food and the nan brot is not hard. even the poppadome were on the square. in my opinion, they try somewhere else because shah’s palace really went downhill. new management, staff and chefs needed. sad to say after all these years, but true.
Often have mixed kebabs out here, find the meat of good quality and very tasty. good value for money too, overall good
Order over £ 30 pounds worth of food online and paid with my debit card. the delivery car arrived and asked for additional money that I could not understand, she called the load from my door to the query and turned out that I was calculated for extra cheese etc....what allowed the website mr to add and no mention of additional fees. certainly it is at the store to make sure that there are the prices right online and not try to extra fees at the place of delivery, bit of a cons. I paid it because I could not fight with the bad delivery car, but we will not be back, daunting as I was a customer for over 15 years, but certainly not the same as before. the food quality was bad, burned garlic bread, hardly a chicken in a chef special dish and packed so badly the food had fallen out of the retainers. I suggest shahs palast update their website to ensure that the prices are correct and top game, as the quality definitiw has gone downhill.
My flat is on the top floor, I get a phone call that I need to meet them at the front door for my delivery because of COVID' (i've had maybe 200 deliveries during COVID and never had this request). If i was dressed to...go outside, then I probably wouldn't be ordering a takeaway for delivery so this is very annoying and I will not order from them again. The delivery woman, so concerned about COVID had no mask on or gloves.
