Jones Creek Cafe Oyster

My fiance and I adore this place. The food has always been beyond good and the employees are very sweet. My previous experience however wasn’t as great as normal. Waitress was still very nice and very accommodating the oysters, pasta Baton Rouge and fried catfish all very delicious and everyone was happy. I however ordered the Grilled redfish. When it got to the table it was clearly over cooked, it was ice cold and the more I ate the fish the saltier it had become. Let’s say I won’t be ordering that again which is upsetting because I love redfish. I will continue to dine at this restaurant but I hope the owner or manager becomes aware that the grilled redfish needs to be prepared better. As I said all the other food was very good, I just wasn’t pleased with the redfish.

Terrible service and the food is subpar compared to other restaurants in the area. Get ready to sit there for awhile before your server says anything to you. Then get ready to wait even longer. Pretty much your gunna have to flag them down to get any service.

Local cafe that serves good food. Wasn’t overly impressed but it was still a good experience. Ordered: crab cakes, oysters, and a Caesar salad.There is an outside patio area that looked nice but…lots of smokers.

We get the grilled chicken and pasta salad and let me just say it is awesome and the service is always just as awesome!!! I’ll be telling everyone I know !! Thanks for being amazing ? Kid-friendliness: Oh my goodness my best friend brings her great granddaughter and that little angel loves the servers there and they smile big when she’s there ! But they are just awesome at their job!!Haven’t been one time when they weren’t on point . Wheelchair accessibility: My best friend and I have knee issues and she has a parking Handicap tag so we don’t have a problem parking ?handicap

Went yesterday 4-12-24 evening around 6pm (party of 5). Haven't been in years and I live within a mile. Service and food were bad in the past but decided to give it a shot for something different. Hostess and waitress were nice this time and the food was descent although it took a while to get it even though we were one of 2 tables. The place was empty except for people at the bar which is separate from the dining area. I thought maybe we were just early and that's why it was so empty. No one else ever showed up by the time we left. My husband had his eye on the LSU baseball game but that's not why we were there (meaning we were going to eat and leave, not stay til the end of the game). We were eating and visiting with an out of town guest and at the end of our meal an employee walked up and grabbed the remote and very rudely turned the TV off saying she was getting yelled at and had to do it. We were the only ones there! The other table had left midway through our meal so it wasn't a complaint from anyone. The bar on the other side was loud and watching golf so there was no issue with what we were doing. Only thing I can think of is they wanted us out of there asap. It was only 7pm maybe 7:30 since it took forever to get our food. Very weird experience and VERY RUDE behavior on her part. She seemed like a manager although I don't know for sure. It was just a bizarre experience the way she walked up out of the blue and acted rude over the TV when we were the only ones in the dining area. Won't be going back!
