The Stocks Inn - East Dorset

I went to this restaurant for a late lunch on a Saturday. We decided to try the steak and ale pie as many people had recommended it. We skipped the starters and both opted for the homemade Steak & Ale Pie - I had mine with mashed potatoes and my wife had hers with chips. The pie was absolutely delicious, filled with plenty of meat and very filling. We washed it down with a couple of pints but were too full for dessert. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place had a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be going back for more. Parking was plentiful and easy to navigate.

Great experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the drinks were good too. The staff was friendly and the overall atmosphere was wonderful. Highly recommended. Parking was easy with plenty of free parking available. The average price per person was £20–£30. I highly recommend trying the Fish and Chips. Service and atmosphere both receive a top score of 5.

Went to lunch with some fellow retirees one Thursday in November. We had a good time and did not feel cramped in at our table, despite there being a good number of diners. There is lots of choice on the menu for all courses so our tastes were satisfied. The food was good and hot. In fact we enjoyed ourselves so much that we hope to go back again early next year. Great trip here today for a celebration. The team were super friendly and helpful, making sure to check back with us often. Food was really enjoyable and desert portions generous, verging on maybe too large! Will return here for our next family event (it's a 2 hour drive for us but worth it).
