Was rather ordinary. Had an expresso coffee that tasted lukewarm! Finished with a raspberry/coconut slice which is a big slice, a bit on the dry side but tasted ok. If it wasn't a special deal, it would have been an even greater disappointment. For a full price of $17 I would be able to get a really good lunch elsewhere.
Dropped by this relatively new cafe while wandering around in the CBD. Love this small, cozy set-up, designed to fit into and respect the historical space that it occupies. Look out for the 'Coffee' sign that marks their entrance. The staff are lovely people, who are serious about bringing good coffee to Geelong. Their coffee changes frequently, and they use local ingredients. I throughly enjoyed my latte, and will be back to try more coffee and the food. Check out their facebook page for pictures of their lovely cafe, coffee and food!
I went here on the recommendation of a friend after seeing photos of the pumpkin croquette and Chilli scrambled eggs.
We missed the brunch menu, so we came in for a late lunch/early dinner when the menu changes over at 3pm.
I ordered a ham and Brie panini but received a roasted sandwich with thin ham and barely any Brie. The sandwich had mayonnaise dripping from it and was quite ordinary. The coffee I ordered was lukewarm. The raspberry/coconut slice I had for dessert was large but a bit dry, though it tasted okay. Overall, if it wasn't for the special occasion, I would have been even more disappointed. For the price of $17, I could have gotten a much better lunch elsewhere.
