I have been a loyal customer of Bengal Express for many years. It appears that the front of house staff has changed recently and the service has worsened over the last six months. Ordering over the phone has become difficult as the staff seem to be unaware of their menu items. Additionally, they struggle with providing credit card receipts. The quality of the curries has also declined, with more sauce than actual substance. I am now looking for a new restaurant to try.
The food from this restaurant was delayed by over 30 minutes because the driver could not find our house, even though it is easily located on Google Maps. Additionally, when the food finally arrived, the two naan breads we ordered were missing. After calling the restaurant to inquire about the missing items, we were told that they would be delivered in 20 minutes and we would receive a refund for them. However, when the naan breads did arrive, there was no refund given. We ultimately ended up eating our food, which was mediocre and only lukewarm. When we reached out to Just Eat, the delivery platform we ordered through, they informed us that the restaurant had refused to provide a refund. Despite Just Eat ultimately refunding us, we were disappointed by the average quality of the food and the shockingly poor customer service. We will not be ordering from this restaurant again.
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. After not going for a while, I was completely disappointed with both the meal and the customer service when I called to express my dissatisfaction. I couldn't even get a word in! I will be going back to my usual, reliable takeaway/restaurant closer to me next week.
Have used this takeaway for some years now and always been satisfied.Although we moved from the village of Clanfield we are still within their delivery area so we still use their services.
