We stopped here for an early lunch, as this was the only cafe open, but were not disappointed. I had the Ploughmans Lunch, that was excellent, my wife plumping for a jacket potato. We had an excellent coffee while waiting. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Well worth a visit.
Decided to treat ourselves after a dentist visit in Alford. Lovely selection for lunch, we chose the homemade soups, vegetable or tomato one of each and they were delicious, together with a bacon bap each. Very filling and tasty, soups piping hot. Could not have asked for better on a cold January day. Cakes looked lovely but we were full up! Total £12 between us. Lovely, we will return. Thanks
I've been using Alford Deli off and on for years. The current management is the best, long may this last. I've lately been having the homemade soup and it is absolutely fabulous, hearty and tasty and very filling. Just what you need now winter is setting in. All the cakes and cheesecakes are homemade, variety changing regularly and what I have sampled so far have all been absolutely fabulous. Lovely to be able to sit outside on nice days as well.
We stopped here for a mid afternoon snack with our dog. The sandwiches I had were lovely as was the jacket potato my husband had. The cakes looked delicious, we had marmalade cake which was very yummy. We were given sliced sausage for our dog which was a kind thought. We also had our water bottle filled, again kind.
