Captain's Cabin - East London

Ordered a basket as did the whole table, chicken was cooked to death, Ribs where great though. Not fan oraircon , so extremely hot inside.

Amazing view with a decent bite (fresh catch), lots of locals with friendly faces.

I visited on a chilly evening and requested a cup of coffee, only to be informed that the coffee pot had been broken for a month, leaving them without any hot beverages. It's hard to believe that a tourist-heavy establishment wouldn't prioritize fixing their hot drink service for an entire month in the winter. I definitely won't be returning to this place.

I used to really enjoy dining at Captain's Cabin, but I’m very disappointed with my recent experiences. The food has declined significantly, and I won’t be returning for a third time. The pizzas and calamari were both awful. It’s clear that there’s no passion in the food anymore. I can prepare better meals at home. It seems like the place has turned into more of a bar than a restaurant now.

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant with my family. The service was poor, and the food was subpar. The waitstaff had a careless attitude; they even spilled a milkshake on our child and didn't offer any apologies for the mix-up with our order. When we asked to speak with the manager, we were ignored. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for a family-friendly environment or a decent meal.
