Pizza Express - East Northamptonshire

Food was OK, although I struggled to find any mince in the lasagna. However having booked over a month ago for a family birthday we were disappointed to be sat at a table that was basically part of the waiting area for just eat and collections etc. For most of our meal we had several delivery drivers surrounding us watching us eat which was extremely uncomfortable. Queried this with a waitress who made a joke of it they will stare more if you order dessert . Overall an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience.

Can't tell you how disappointed we were; there was always something special about Pizza Express they were never the cheapest, but the food was always really good. My Romana Padana well, the toppings were spread so thinly, cheese cut into such tiny pieces it might as well have not been there all I could taste was the bread base! This was always my go to pizza tasty, creamy, delicious; never again and £16? With £3.55 for a bottle of Coke?? Sorry, you're having a laugh selling a third rate product at premium prices. When my son comes over from the USA he always INSISTS on going to Pizza Express he loves it, but next time he'll go without me. Poor poor poor!

Poor service yet again. Third time lucky- turns out this is not so. I thought I’d give it another chance after last times poor service and I wish I hadn’t. I was ignored at the door for five minutes while a waitress chatted to a customer who was clearly also her friend about how annoying she finds parking in the staff section. I ended up interrupting these chat so I could get seated wit my toddler. This lady then continues to call me sweetheart when she talks to me, which I find patronising especially as this lady was clearly 18 ish and I’m 30odd. Anyways I get sat down but then ignored for ten minutes until I ask a member of staff for service, who then didn’t understand me, who then went to find another member of staff to talk to me, this other member of staff then came over and said she would get another member of staff to serve me- that took another five mins of my life waiting for the final waiter to turn up. Then eventually the starters come out but no drinks, I have to asked for them again, they are 25p off the bill for late drinks- what is the point?! I eventually leave and there is no goodbye. Never again, service at zizzi’s and wildwood are so much better. This place is actually getting a reputation in Rushden for poor table service- wish I listened!

I want to note that the waitstaff at this restaurant are very pleasant, though they seem to be extremely busy. They were able to resolve an issue with a discount. We came here for a family meal and the restaurant was very busy, as expected on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the food service. Some of us received our starters while others had to wait, and the same happened with our main courses. It got worse when a lasagne came out cold and had to be sent back. By the time a new one arrived, everyone else had finished eating. The replacement lasagne was also lukewarm and had to be sent back again. One family member ended up going home without a meal. When a pre-made lasagne can't even be properly heated, it's clear that the kitchen is struggling. It seems that the focus here is on profits rather than quality. With too many tables to handle, an overwhelmed takeout service, and only six people in the kitchen, it's no surprise that there were issues. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to Pizza Express.

I absolutely adored the service at this restaurant! After a long time, we finally received exceptional care from our waitress. She was incredibly friendly and professional. Even though I didn't catch her name, she had red hair and truly brightened my day. I hope she is well appreciated at the restaurant.
