First time back since Covid. Huge Mistake. Dinner: 2 tasteless teriyaki sticks, 4 chicken fingers also tasteless. Veggie fried rice was burned brown rice with couple tiny bits of a veggie. Meal 2: garlic chicken in watery sauce w/ few token pieces of chicken and the same disgusting burned brown rice mess. We tossed out the dinners. Inedible. Eggrolls however excellent were included with dinner. We drove 45 mts each way. Only 1 of us likes eggrolls. $26.43 for horrible food. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Never going back. So disappointed
I love Mama Khang. This is my go to this side of the CT River for Vietnamese. Service is a bit slow. But I commend Mama Khang working as hard as she does at her age. For good food, it's worth the extra patience and grace to support this small business.
Food was not good. It seemed as the frying oil was reused from a previous day. Rice was very dry, almost desert dry. The chicken was the only okay part of the meal and it still was not good.
Ordered $45 plus tip take-out from Mama Khang this evening. Arrived home with very disappointing dishes that had absolutely no flavor at all. They were absolutely awful. Beef with garlic sauce with beef that was tough and chewy with no sauce; Wonton soup with a mushy layer of disintegrated pasta on the bottom of the container; Mel Fun angel hair pasta with chicken that was all together dry and had no seasoning or flavor at all; egg rolls which fell apart.Immediately telephoned Mama Khang and spoke with female manager. I told her our concerns regarding the food we picked up and how disappointed we were with the flavor and quality. The manager proceeded to tell me, for example with the Beef with Broccoli, that some customers have complained in the past that she makes it too salty and at other times with not enough flavor our complaint . Also mentioned that with the Wonton Soup when you order it as a take-out item, the noodle wontons sometimes fall apart and become mushy by the time you get it home Should we not order their Wonton soup then if it is for take-out???? Now, I have had the type of paper thin wonton she describes yet have never had this problem at other restaurants. My husband ate the Sweet and Sour chicken yet agreed the other dishes were flavorless.I requested a partial refund for our order due to our experience yet the manager, who also informed me that she herself had cooked our selections, continued to argue with me and defend the meal and its preparation. She was unapologetic, rude and obviously not concerned with customer satisfaction. Very disappointed, to say the least, and will never be returning as they do not deserve our patronage.
