Tickle Toby Inn, Northallerton

Called in on a cold and wet Bank Holiday Monday and received a very warm welcome from the friendly landlady. The York brewery Guzzler was excellent. However, star of the show was the homemade mince and dumplings. The rest of the party had deep filled rolls and chips, which went down well. Well done to all concerned.

First time back here for a while, and still as good as before . Nice varied menu, a few tables outside, and good seating in. Staff helpful friendly, even offering a dog some water nice touch. Popular with all ages. Will be back when next down in Northallerton .

Great value food, home cooked on the premises, our mince n dumplings and steak and ale pie arrived 5 minutes after ordering piping hot on hot plates. This food is literally half the price of several other hotels across the road. Tremendous value for money and good quality pub grub cooked well. Highly recommended. We will be back.
