Golden River Chinese Takeaway

Unreal food, amazing service. Highly recommend getting your food from Golden River, welcoming staff!!

Very put off and a little concerned we didn't eat the half duck when we got it home watching it get heated up in the microwave in the plastic tubs was a no go and was a bit of a worry maybe don't have the white microwave on display or maybe dont heat cooked duck in a microwave. Not sure heating duck in the microwave is safe but will find out . The expected result of a Chinese is freshly cooked at £17 for half a duck ..

The food was served cold and the mushroom curry didn't taste like curry, but more like gravy with an overwhelming amount of curry powder. The fried noodles were not fried and instead served in a gravy. Overall, I was extremely disappointed and will not be coming back to this restaurant.

We ordered from this restaurant as a birthday surprise for our son. The menu had a good selection and, despite it being a Friday evening, the order was ready for pick-up on time. The food was hot and tasty, well packaged, and everyone enjoyed it.

Wasn't too sure about this place a few years ago but food has been much better recently. Recommended.
