Shocking service, staff told us wrong specials, limited menu meant we decided to go elsewhere after our drinks. Made worse by being called back in to the cafe 5 minutes after paying to be told the note was fake. I feel absolutely scammed as there was no way of proving it was the note I’d paid with and the note had come from a cash machine the day before! Avoid the place!

I have never seen a better garden center and cafe than this one. It is absolutely beautiful. The cafe is incredible and offers everything from full meals to afternoon tea. My friends and I opted for cakes and pots of tea, and we were not disappointed. The cakes were outstanding, with plenty of options to choose from. I also purchased a couple of reasonably priced plants here. Overall, an excellent place to visit. - Anne Walker

Olive tree is lovely eating place, especially after a walk with friends. The food is top notch ….everything about this eating establishment astounds me, standards are excellent ….quality of the food, friendly staff, it’s clean and warm with no blaring music ….I would recommend eating here to anyone who likes eating out.

£11.25 for a sandwich! I feel for anyone who visits and are on a budget ! £10 for a regular sandwich (we had warm ciabatta) it was nice but they really should re think their prices. At the end of the day it’s a cafe in a garden centre. The cakes and brownies looked very tempting I think next time we visit we’ll have coffee and cake

Ladies and gentlemen: the pie. The pie has a base, four sides and a lid. A lid alone is not a pie. It's a lid. The Olive Tree makes the best steak and ale pie in the area. Go there. Eat the pie. You will thank me.
