The Pheasant Dining

We discovered this restaurant on Google and decided to give it a try. We didn't come for the golf (even though it is located in the Allenthorpe Golf and Country Club), but purely for the food. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere upon arrival and the staff are friendly and attentive. The menu offers a wide variety of options and the daily specials are appealing to all. We tried the halloumi kebab and retro burgers, both of which were delicious. The burger was one of the best I've had in a long time and the chips were outstanding. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. We enjoyed our meal so much that we returned two days later for lunch on a Saturday. Despite expecting it to be busier, the weather kept the restaurant calm. This time, I had the southern fried chicken burger and my wife tried the carvery. Once again, the food was excellent and we ended up taking home some desserts, which were also delicious. The staff during our second visit were just as enthusiastic, polite, and helpful as before. Overall, a great place for dining and drinking that offers excellent food at an affordable price. Highly recommended!

The dining experience was lovely, the service was excellent, and the prices were very affordable. We visited this restaurant twice while staying at the Algarve Golf Club for meals and several times for drinks. Overall, highly recommended.

I have visited this restaurant a couple of times now, and every time has been amazing. They offer a great selection of gluten-free food for those with celiac disease. The staff is always friendly and attentive.

Really nice food especially the dirty fries and nice staff. They did get our drinks wrong and tried to charge us twice (honest mistake) but all rectified really quickly through good customer service.
