Caffe Capri - East Rutherford

Everyone has a good or bad experience. Truth be told, not every cook or cook is on his or her one game or it could even be a new cook. There are several reasons why you have had a bad experience. Eating smart or service. This is my second time order (have not yet gedimted in person) and the food is phenomenal. I can only imagine if I dive into Café Capri. 2 times I and my Gf had the spaghetti Carbonara and Penne al a Wodka. Both times we were very impressed!

This restaurant is not a hidden gem, it was a disaster! The waiter seemed half asleep, took forever to serve us, and the prices on the menu were not accurate. When we received the bill, everything was $5 more expensive. The owner explained that they had not yet updated the prices on the menu, but we should have been informed before ordering. The food was tasteless and overpriced, $30 for a small portion of chicken and veggies. I will not be returning.

Stay here! When we went there for the first time, the food was good and we decided to go back. Bad idea. We ordered a starter for 2, a pizza for me), and a salmon dish for GF). Starter was OK. My pizza was not very dry at all, canned mushrooms etc.). GF's plate came 5 minutes after mine. The fish was spoiled. It was offered to exchange it, and selected seafood linguine. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. It was 4PM on Saturday, the place was almost empty so they had no excuse. After more than half an hour we lost patience and decided to go. I asked for the check for the two things we were serving. Then, magical, the Linguine appeared. We said we were leaving, we had it. I paid for the starter and the pizza in cash $40, as per menu), and we went to our car. They called the police and did not allow us to leave their parking lot, stood in the way to block the exit. The police came and listened to the history of each side. When I showed the officer my Google Timeline and proved that we were there for 1h30, he went to the restaurant, spoke to the owner, came back and said that it was for us, we could either pay for the linguins and take them away, but no obligation, we could also go. What we did. I wish I could give these rackets negative stars. And 5 to the police.

Excellent gourmet Italian food with nice service, but for the price, I wish the food had more taste. Top Animal Dessert though 10/10 would recommend the Cannoli

The service at this restaurant was exceptional from the moment we walked in. Despite being the only customers at the time, our waiter went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience. The food was also delicious. Don't be put off by any negative reviews - this place is truly a hidden gem. I highly recommend giving them your business.
