Wegmans Market Cafe - EAST SYRACUSE

Thank you for reintroducing your meatless options! My family really enjoys the Don't Be Chicken-style breasts and the Don't Be Piggy sausages.

It was wonderful and I LOVE my Wegmans on James street. The cashier #3 did a Excellento job in bagging up my groceries for me. All the employees should get a discount for anything in the store plus a RAISE! I give Wegmans a overall score of 10! #LOVEWegmans

This store is quite large, but it can be overwhelming if you're not prepared for the chaos of Dewitt's. The storage space is smaller, which means that sometimes certain items are not available. I also wish they had a better bakery with a wider selection, as they mainly offer muffins and doughnuts.

If you have issues with Wegmans, try Price Chopper and you'll see why we in the Capital District are practically pleading for Wegmans to come and dominate the Albany market. For instance, Price Chopper's solid Albacore tuna comes in 5 oz cans and often contains bones along with the somewhat gritty tuna. In contrast, Wegmans offers a 6 oz can of solid Albacore that is typically a nice, solid fillet, and it rarely has bones. I could go on about the various products and meat prices, which tend to be about 5-10% higher at Price Chopper in Albany, regardless of brand. The James Street location is small, and they are continually finding new ways to maximize their limited space. However, if you want a wider selection, you need to shop at a larger store than James Street. You truly don't realize the value of what you have until it's gone.
