First time here, the girls were great in ensuring we were all catered for carefully. We were a difficult group having afternoon tea ...., so we had vegan requirements, plus two of us had anaphylaxis, being allergic to separate things. Lots of cakes on our three tier cake stands, great coffee and walnut! Exceptional coffee.
Our second visit to the Love Cake Cafe, popped in for some milk shakes and coffee. Friendly service so much choice, don't think about the calories.... Just enjoy it! Children both chose oreo freak shakes and I went for a peanut butter milkshake which was really peanuty ?! , latte was nothing out of the ordinary... But that's not why we came! We'll be back!
Called in here for the first time and got a very warm welcome. We sat at the front of the café which was both good and bad! Good because there were about 5 toddlers shrieking at the back but bad because we were close to the door opening and shutting and it was a very cold day. Coffee was very nice as was the cake and the service was excellent. It was reasonably priced, too. Not sure if kids are a regular feature here but I think we would probably avoid it in the future just in case. Shame as it could be a really enjoyable watering hole!!
Really bad service. Booked in for afternoon tea and we had to go up to the counter to order the tea even though we were the only party in there. Food wasn't good and absolutely rubbish for vegetarians and non existant for vegans. I thought Meads would know better! My friend and I were forgotten the week before! A hot cup of black coffee was passed over my friend's pram which made us really cringe. Luckily there was no spillage!
