Muffin Break - Eastbourne

The service was slow at the restaurant, with four staff members behind the counter, none of whom acknowledged my presence. Although they were busy, they should have still recognized that I was waiting, especially since there was no one else in line. The staff did not smile or make eye contact. Additionally, the points machine was not working. However, the hot chocolate was delicious and the cafe was clean.

I ordered a cold drink and the young waiter who served me was okay. However, I was not impressed by the way he spoke to the young lady at the barista station. If he had spoken to me like that, I would have been very upset. It was unprofessional, especially in front of customers. There is a time and place for everything, and the other girl who found it funny only made me more annoyed. I told them that they were rude.

I took my mother shopping in Eastbourne and we decided to stop for a coffee at Muffin Break. However, our experience was extremely disappointing. Upon entering the ladies' restroom, a staff member made a rude comment about us being there together. Due to my mother's poor health and need for assistance, we decided to leave without ordering. When I mentioned the incident to the manager, she was also very rude and told us to leave the shop. I was shocked and disgusted by their behavior. I will never visit this establishment again. It is unacceptable to treat customers in such a disrespectful manner. My mother, who has a terminal illness, deserved better treatment.

Ordered an apple cake, large hot chocolate, lemon ginger tea and carrot cake. The service as walk in is top notch. The staff here made us as a customer for the first time feel welcome and had an approachable manner. The apple cake when heated was worth it as made the experience so much more enjoyable. One of the best hot chocolates I ever had! Thanks to the team, you guys were so brilliant and you know what you are doing. Good luck!

Just tried their new lotus biscoff milkshake and it is heaven! Get down there and try it because of my god you won’t regret it. Also I love this place lol, the staff are so lovely too and it’s such a nice environment. Thank you!
