The Oak Bar & Grill - EASTERN CREEK

After a rather long period of absence we dined here twice in the space of 2 weeks and on both occasion I'm am sorry to say, average pub grub is the best I can say.The place is noisy, a combination of the loud music and with a lot of diners in the restaurant, intimate its not. The menu promises so much but delivers so little with everything from pizza to steak, the entrees were the best part of the meal, onion rings, very nice. On both occasions I had the salmon with Niçoise salad, on both occasion salmon over cooked and guys, the salad is not a Niçoise salad,it's a salad of some sort, a very poor salad but not a Niçoise salad.My wife had a chicken dish with risotto and a very heavy cheesy type sauce, the dish is huge and very rich but not in a good way, the risotto is average and the strong smell of Parmesan cheese coming from the sauce was overpowering.The bar offers a good range of beers spirits and wines and the service was good with the food coming out very quickly.It's not cheap and I don't believe it's worth the money for what amounts to be very average pub grub, it's a shame as this area does not have much to offer and this place could be so much better

Menu was great, with variety, had arranged for our sports team to come and have dinner and everyone was happy with their portions and menu prices.

Food fantastic and staff a delight. Enjoyed another meal with friends who were very impressed with the food and service.

This Restaurant is situated within the Alpha Hotel at eastern Creek. As we were staying in the Hotel it seemed a good idea to eat here as well. The Saturday night it was packed however the longest part was the ordering of our meal. Once ordered it arrived in a very short time and was great. Staff and kitchen did a great job dealing with such a large crowd.The second night was a more relaxed but staff and the kitchen were on the ball and our meals arrived very shortly after ordering.We found the menu to be good and not overly priced. The wine and beer list was OK. All in all 2 very good evening meals.

Situated in the Alpha Hotel. A reasonable venue and it has a happy hour five to six. Food is good but expensive and we had a pizza at $28. Venue was big enough for a large group. Smoking outside however fumes came in through the doors and defeated the purpose. Service was mostly quick. Toilets were down the passageway and were sometimes messy. OK if you are not on a budget.
