First time visiting Hiltonbury and wasn't disappointed. The service was first class and couldn't fault them at all. The food was lovely, I had a sirloin steak and finished with the cheese board washed down with a bottle of wine. No wonder this place was busy. Definitely going back again when down in the area. Quite expensive. 1 course, soft drink, coffee with small taster pudding was over £30.The roast potatoes were not good and very small. The side dishes were small. The cauliflower cheese was a tiny portion and not baked, with just a thin sauce. The gravy pan caused a bit of a mess. There is a nice, cosy atmosphere, but the food needs to improve. Had a lunchtime catch up with a friend the service was absolutely fantastic from start to finish we had Soup and Sandwich for lunch and the soup was exceptional great taste loved it.
