So, I was just about to write a review, when I came across these two one star reviews, and I have to disagree with what BOTH of these reviews said on so many levels.Me and my girlfriend had dinner last night at Tiger Lily for the Valentine’s Day special, and it was nothing short of spectacular. We’ve been to, Tiger Lily many times, and as soon as we heard about the Valentine’s Day package, it was a no brainer. It was a four course dinner menu with plenty of great options top to bottom. Plus, the drink features were intriguing as well.To say the food was “okay” is a joke. To say the service, and atmosphere was “terrible”, is a joke. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our server was on point with everything. Great timing, friendliness, and professionalism were all displayed, and that’s been a key note every single time I’ve gone to, Tiger Lily. The food was great. For a four course Valentine’s Day menu, there was no shortage of options, all of which were well thought out. If me or girlfriend had a question about the menu while ordering, our server knew everything about that item, and gave us great explanations on what to expect if we ordered it, and when we did, it was EXACTLY that.I started out with the arugula/strawberry salad.Followed by the “tiger rolls” as an app. Then I had the “tiger lily burger”, and topped that off with a 21+ space milk ice cream that sealed the deal. The salad was very light, fairly portioned, and packed a lot of flavor. The balance of arugula and strawberry was perfect, the goat cheese and toasted pecans added that extra texture to make it really hit the spot. I’ll give it a 7/10. Would rate it higher, but usually I’m not a HUGE fan of arugula. The “tiger rolls” were good. They’re actually on the main menu for regular dinner services, and I hope they stay on for a while. The fry on them was perfect… the sauce on the side was fresh, and had a bit of spice that complemented the steak and cheese well. 8.5 out of 10For my entree I had the “tiger lily burger”, again, it’s an item you can find on the regular dinner service menu, but I was happy to see it on the on this menu. It’s the best smash burger in town, and it’s not even close. I’ve ordered it 4 or 5 times now, and each time it’s as good as the last. The ice cream, solid. It was my first time having a 21+ ice cream, and it definitely left a great impression. It was almost like a mint chocolate chip styled ice cream, and it was a perfectly sized portion to cap off a four course meal. I’ll give it a 8 out of 10.Now, let’s talk about the atmosphere. The ONLY thing I’ll agree on in the slightest, most minute way possible, is the couples table me and my girlfriend sat at were close to the other tables around us. We were also in between two other couples. That being said, it was not a night ruining complication by any means. If anything, another foot or so between the tables would’ve helped. The thing is, I was there for my girlfriend. Me and her talked to each other, and had a great time doing so, and paid no mind to the couples next to us. The lighting in the restaurant was perfect. It was slightly dim, and the music being played was perfect for the setting, per usual if you’ve been the restaurant more than once.Look, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Everyone can review, and rate something based on their experience, and it has to be respected because we pay money for services. We expect great service for hard earned money being spent on a special night out with loved ones. If you’re looking to do so, Tiger Lily is a great place to make that happen. The staff are cool as can be, the food is great, the drinks are solid, and the vibe of the restaurant doesn’t get any better when you’re talking about places to go out in, Easton.
Horrible Valentine’s Day meal. Service and ambiance were the worst!
The worst experience ever!! We had dinner here last evening for Valentine’s Day. It was part of a package deal, a carriage ride through downtown Easton and then a dinner for 2 at Tiger Lily. It was a 4 course fixed menu , which was fine… lots of tempting choices. We were sat at a table for two between two other occupied tables that were 10-12” from our table. The one side of the table was along a banquette bench style seating… No romance or intimacy to be had with that arrangement. We could hear every word of every conversation on either side of us if we chose to listen. As Im sure they heard ours. The food was just okay. Salad was the first course, then appetizers. Mine had a fancy name and a fancy description, but when it came it was literally deep fried chicken thighs with a spattering of sauce on top. Fried in old burnt tasting oil. We waited about 20 minutes between our appetizer’s and our main course. Again the food was beautifully described but fell short on taste!! When our entrees were delivered, our waitress informed us that 3 of the 6 dessert choices were sold out! Asked what we wanted from the remaining list and left. Halfway through our main course she plops down our dessert on the table and says have a great night and walks away. Both our desserts contained ice cream which is now starting to melt as we hurriedly try to finish our entrees. Our meals were prepaid, but we had to wait for 15 minutes before my husband could flag our waitress down to pay our bar tab. The food was not bad but not good either, the service and atmosphere were terrible. Sadly, this will be our last trip to Tiger Lily. We work very hard for our money and had been looking forward to this night out for weeks!
New spot for us . Food fresh , service friendly and engaged . Nest margarita we've had in a long time . DO NOT pass up the fries , no matter what you order the fries will make it better !!
