Feedback gevenWe hiked 2.5 hours to get here from Kufstein, along a fairly even path after the initial ascent into the Kaisertal past Alpine meadows, waterfalls, wildflowers, through forests, tunnels hewn from rock and ravines and alongside the rocky river. Stunning journey rewarded by one of the most idyllic settings for a Gasthof I 've experienced after many years of visiting the area. Our lunch was delicious fresh salads herbs grown on site; a perfect Schnitzel made from scratch; gammon 'burgers ' with homemade buns. Far better than the standard Tyrolean gasthof fare we have got used to. The cakes looked amazing too although we didn 't try them will look forward to that next time. Highly recommended.
This Alm is at the far end of the Kaisertal valley (no road) so is an approx 2 hour walk on the direct path from the car park at Kufstein (need to climb up 100 hundred steps to get into to this fabulous scenic valley). If you walk the far end of the valley you reach this guest house surrounded by high peaks . It has good food and drink a great play area and river running through . On a summer's day with their plant pots out it was a great place to end the walk (for climbers the start). Inside it is immaculate and with a great style in this remote location so would be great destination for walkers to stop for the night (we did minor this time so can't comment further on the accomadation). (I have also reviewed the Alm nearer Kufstein for a shorter walk in the Kaisertal)
A house with a lot of love to the detailed restored with sun terrace and fantastic views of the wild imperial! the menu is very extensive for a mountain inn and kreatiw- everything was superlecker. I'll be back to the night.
The Anton-Karg-Haus am Hinterbärenbad is beautifully situated as the starting point for great hikes in the imperial mountains. and has tasted the food very well, the portions were rather large. There are plenty of homemade, such as limonade, icy, broth etc. the facility is lovingly embellished with many petty things. the service is very attentive, friendly and we felt very welcome as guests! Our camp for 3 people was spacious and well ventilated, but there are also larger with double bunk beds.No wlan available.and hardly data and handy reception. loading possibilities for electronic charring are in vain. nice: additional ceilings are ready on the floor, the rooms are not clamped under the roof.Frowth is to be pre-ordered in the evening and is arranged per person. price is with 7 euro for a sweet breakfast OK.Waschraum with shower was no longer quite deaf but clean. warm water costs 2.50 for a brand with about 4 min running time.
We just put a short stop here. the house looks well maintained and also the outdoor facilities are nice and appealing. the service was fast and friendly. Cake and imperial fools excellent (even if you can be over rusty or not in imperial bully quite different opinion :-) ). we would return here at any time.
