Rampsbeck - Eden

We arrived early and sat outside in the stunning grounds with pre drinks.... Make sure u do this when u go.... The staff were fabulous and attentive. Our waiter, Mark (tall lad) did the hotel proud. He's everything you hope for in a place like this. Friendly, polite, relaxed and efficient, a credit to the place. Our dishes were cooked beautifully and we took coffees in the lounge later to cap off a fabulous evening. The Ullswater View Hotel recommended we came here, which was typical of how all these businesses seen to look out for each other

Was above my expectations, food is fantastic, absolutely delicious and the whole menu is beautiful. The service was wonderful, the staff was fantastic.

Food was lovely but might not be enough for bigger appetites. Lots of local ingredients used. Lovely breakfasts. Service on occasions slightly disorganised but nothing serious.

We were booked on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis and the hotel had already made dinner reservations for us prior to arrival. I wouldn’t normally opt for a 3 course dinner but the choice and quality of food were both outstanding. Service was slightly slower than I’d expect but they were busy and it did force us to take a break between courses.

Without a doubt a nice dining room, with beautiful views of the lake. The service was slow, and some staff members did not seem very sure of what they were doing. The food was quite good, starting with ox rabves very tasty followed by reasonably tasty lamb, very well presented. The highlight for me was the delicious maracuyá salad, although I am not sure that the chocolate ice cream with which it served was particularly good. Not convinced it was worth the price of 40.
