The fish (fish and salad) were simply prepared. nearby vibs so good for filling not to enjoy.
What a beautiful restaurant in the historic edenton. we came from traveling on a Monday night at 5:30. the restaurant was busy, but we could immediately get a place on a high table. the specials sounded good. we chose the soft bowl basket dinner that was delicious. it came with two sides, the spinat was very good. I ordered brotpudding to go to dessert, that was huge! our waitress and hostess were wonderful. we hope to travel south again.
Waterman’s was recommended by another local load on the road. really a spot on the square. a great cake dinner. the service was something of the best and when leaving the owner thanked me for coming.
We arrived in Edenton on our 6th day in NC. It surpassed all the superlatives we had heard, and our innkeeper, tour guide, and a local historian all separately recommended Waterman’s for dinner. So there was no doubt where we were going ! It was a Friday night, we had no reservations, but we arrived shortly after they opened at 4:30 and were seated right away at a great table. The service was great, the oysters superb. My crab cake was the best I’ve ever had, my wife enjoyed her broiled flounder immensely. The Gaelic Ale was great. I would recommend Waterman’s wholeheartedly if you’re in the area, we hope to return soon.
