Melodic Java - Edinburg

The music was good. The food was bad. The decor was cheap, but also cool. They had a comedy night, but this is 20 miles outside of Springfield so only 10 people showed up. I can tell the owner is passionate but it feels like they're trying to be too many different things at once. They have an espresso bar, pizza, beer, video games, music, comedy, culture etc. Instead if doing one or two things well they do about 20 different things poorly. Worst of all, they are in the middle of nowhere and the nearby community are not the type of clientele this place needs to thrive. I hope they refine what they have. They have a lot of potential. To be fair, even if they did then they would still be too cool for Edinburgh IL.

We had a supreme, 16 , thin crust pizza at this restaurant for the first time tonight at Melodic Java. It was awesome! The crust was thin but still crisp and not floppy and limp! Check it out!

This place is a charming little joint not far off the beaten path. The owner is incredibly supportive of local artists and performers. Make sure to ask about the drinks like Italian soda.

Good food and great people. This place is wonderful and Dustin is great to work with on events.

Great food , clean ,friendly place with a Coffee house vibe .
