Scottish National Gallery - Edinburgh

The restaurant does not offer a vegan spread, but does provide olive oil as an alternative. The breakfast included burnt toast with butter on the side, and the food was lukewarm. The meal also featured a butter shortbread biscuit served with oat milk coffee. Overall, the experience was quite disorganized.

The vegan breakfast option at this restaurant is disappointing and not recommended. (Updated from previous review on June 28, 2023)

I had a delicious soup and bread during my last visit to this restaurant, and they also offer Oatly for teas and coffees.

Popular Restaurant within Scottish National Gallery. Looks are deceptive as it appears to offer very little that’s suitable for vegans. However if you ask they will bring you a separate vegan menu. Plenty of tasty sounding sandwiches and mains but we went for the desserts. The sticky toffee pudding (pictured) was amazing and served with vegan ice cream. The chocolate pudding was very indulgent and beautifully presented.
