The breakfast menu had a very limited selection and the portions were all too small. I ordered the full Scottish breakfast, but ended up leaving hungry even after spending over £10. The sausages, both meat and vegan options, had a terrible taste and overall, the food was below average considering the premium price. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Today, I visited a cafe to grab a bite to eat, have a coffee, and do some university work on my laptop before an appointment. Unfortunately, my visit was cut short to under 5 minutes due to the rude behavior of the waitress. I needed to charge my laptop, so I plugged my charger into a wall socket since all the wall tables were occupied. The waitress immediately approached me and demanded that I put the charger away. I agreed to do so, but she continued to speak to me in a nasty tone, informing me that I could only use my laptop in the cafe for 20 minutes due to their WiFi policy. Despite explaining that I didn't need to use the WiFi, she persisted in her rude behavior. Other customers offered to exchange tables to provide me with a plug, but I declined as I was put off by the waitress's behavior. I decided to leave and will not be returning to the cafe. It's a shame because I had enjoyed the cafe on previous visits, but the treatment I received was completely unnecessary. The whole experience left me feeling upset.
Quiet place for coffe, tea and chatting. Up a flight of stairs...nice and bright. They have light bites and pastries, also wine.
This café is on the first floor with a relaxed atmosphere and street views from the windows. The menu has salads and meats which were of reasonable quality. The staff were friendly.
I visited this restaurant to meet up with a friend, as we had both been there before and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The chairs were uncomfortable and we sank into them. I asked the waitress if they could make a mimosa, but she seemed confused. We ended up ordering orange juice, a fruit scone, and the pate of the day. The food arrived quickly and the service was good, but we were disappointed with the quality. The homemade pate was bland and lacked seasoning, and the accompanying bread was the only good part. The side salad consisted of just rocket, which was not satisfying. The orange juice was not of good quality and was filled with ice. The fruit scone was dry and unappealing. We were not asked for feedback at the end, and overall it was a disappointing experience. We probably won't be returning anytime soon.
