The Riparian Rooms - Edinburgh, City of

I recently found a restaurant online that used to be a laundromat, but has since transformed into a modern Italian-themed eatery located by the river in the city.

I really wanted to love this restaurant just for its elegant name and decor. This was my third visit, and once again, I was impressed by the cozy atmosphere and the friendly staff dressed in jeans.

The restaurant has a beautiful decoration and ambiance. There are some quirky decor elements, but it's not as industrial or similar to a New York loft like many other new establishments in the area. There are many thoughtful touches throughout the space.

The venue is fab, love the facility, and location is great. the menu is much more interesting than especially for a veggie, but did not eat completely up to the description, or perhaps I had built it too much from the description. overall I cost my lunch there, the staff was all very friendly, helpful and very attentive. the cellar in the ground floor also looks great.

Updated review: after a disappointing experience before (see below) we were offered a free meal. it was fantastic, it cannot be mistaken previous review: we ate here for dinner on a Saturday night. my beginning of skallops was excellent, the deaf of my partner was overwhelmed and hard. the wrong wee was brought twice, we ordered a bottle riesling, for the first time we were brought a carafe red, for the second time we got a more expensive bottle of another riesling. I ordered steak for pornstars, it was overcooked, and the sauce was mostly butter. my friend had the braided ochertail, which was above all bone and gristle. we waited for minutes on the cheeseboard on dessert, which was far too long, as there was only cheese and cracker. the waitress was nice what deserves this place to the second star, although we don't come back.
