Malvarosa - Edinburgh

Had a lovely time at Malvarosa! Me and my friends ate here on new years eve and I thought that the food was great, tried lots of different tapas dishes and also tried my friends paella which was delicious. Great that they had vegan and non vegan dishes so everyone could get something that they liked. I also really enjoyed the sangria! The service was also fabulous and all the staff were super friendly. Would defiantly go back again and would recommend to friends family.

Service was very slow despite the restaurant being quiet. Not much food in the tapas and the quality of food was poor. I don't think cold roast potatoes with what tasted like garlic mayonnaise from a jar is particularly authentically Spanish. Like another reviewer I was amazed that four or five prawns in a runny sauce cost nearly £12. My aubergine tapas was two stacks each consisting of bread, a slice of cheese two pieces of pepper and undercooked aubergine. Avoid.

Excellent tapas So consistently good and especially such good vegetable dishes. The wines were also good. The service was very good.

Everything we tired was delicious! Great service as well! We would come back again and also recommend it to friends.

Superb food, excellent service , came recommended. We really enjoyed our meal, it had flair and great presentation. The tapa’s really worked with the various dishes and it was certainly a place to return to
