Qupi was the very first cafe I visited in Edinburgh. I remember the day because we had a flat viewing down at Leith Links and had taken the 11 bus from the city centre (rookie mistake). This meant we had to run half way down Leith Walk to get to the viewing on time. On our way back down the walk, we were in need of a caffeine kick and that’s how we discovered Qupi. It’s been one of my favourite cafes ever since. Qupi is a lovely, quirky little cafe. On one of the better summer days, you can take your coffee out to the front and enjoy it in the sun. There’s two sections to the cafe inside. The front is where the ‘kitchen’ and counter is and there’s a few various seating areas. The backroom room contains an assortment of quirky chairs, tables, ornaments and lots of hats hanging from the ceiling (obviously the sorts of things you’d expect to find in a cafe). Qupi’s Counter in the front room My preferred seat is just to the left as you enter the door. It’s kind of in it’s own little cut-of
Qupi can be found at the bottom of Leith Walk. They offer a wide range of breakfast items and also are open for lunch. They often do specials such as baguettes filled with chirzo, chicken, salad and lots of other yummy things.
Qupi is a very quirky cafe in which you instantly feel at home. The staff were so friendly and the food was very tasty, it was a shame that the croque was a little cold in the middle but it was still delicious. The salad was nice and fresh, with an unusual dressing and the coffee was excellent. This would be a great cafe to become a regular of, tasty food and excellent service are always a good combination.
Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that is why breakfast at Qupi, Leith Walk, is a winner! We love this little place. Each time you go in, new bits and pieces have been added to the mixed collection of furniture and hats they seem to collect. It’s a friendly place to spend a Sunday morning, which is what we did when we couldn't be bothered to cook. For full review please visit [hidden link]
