Boston Pizza - Edmonton

We stopped in at Boston Pizza in St Albert. I think that I had the best pizza I've ever had. It was hot, cheesy with mild pepperoni. That is just the way I like it. Hubby had chicken wings. I asked if he liked them and he couldn't stop eating them to answer me. lol

We ate in the lounge. My wife had fettuccini which was lukewarm at best. The meal had no flavour. I had the Royal pizza. The pizza lacks cheese. They put the toppings on top of the cheese much like is done in eastern Canada. They leave a one inch band around the pizza where there is only crust. The pizza is over priced for what you get. The service was fine, it isn't the servers fault that the product they sell is sub standard.

We had group of 16 for family function and booked the private room here. The room was great, perfect for groups up to around 25 or so. Service was very good throughout and they could easily and efficiently manage the larger group. We had a bunch of appetizers and then mains from pizzas, pastas, salads and steaks. Everything on the orders was accurate, quality was very good and portions adequate throughout. No problems or complaints. It's obvious this location is a busy one and well managed with good staff. Would come back here again and the private room is great for groups/privacy if you want !!

This location is the closest to our house but it may be in our best interest next time to drive the extra few minutes to another location. The staff who took my pick up order over the phone was just delightful which is more than I can say for the wings. The salt and pepper were lacking the salt and pepper however the hot were adequately sauced and were satisfactory. The pizza bread didn't have much sauce underneath but it sure was cheesy. Lastly, the cactus chips were a little burnt or perhaps fried in old oil so overall not very good. Might give them another try but it's unlikely.

The food was great and the service was even better. We placed our order to share both dishes and the server was quick to get us another plate and she kept checking to see if our meals were satisfactory and was ready to top up our drinks if needed.
