Was perfect to let the staff know if we needed any help with anything. And the reasonanother star is not there is because I went with my friend who uses a cane and she cannot stand for long periods of time. Wewere told there was a wait list for a table which is not a problem at all we just asked if we could sit at an empty table untilour table was ready and we were told no. There was many empty seats, we were not wanting our service as we understood that therewas a waiting list we just wanted somewhere to sit for my friend. Eventually they let us sit at the bar to wait, but to me thatwas highly unprofessional and rude! You could clearly see she had a cane and was struggling to stand!
Been wanting to try this place since it opened and finally found the time and perfect company. It's location is below the theater, nice a quite. From the outside the restaurant looks small but once they started walking us back, it's quite largeinside. They offer tables for small and large groups. The tables are nice, the walls are covered with tons of items related tothe movie. There's two license plates on the table that help the servers know if you need any help with anything. There's a hotsauce on the table, it's a Mexican type sauce, to stay better on theme totally thought they'd have used a Louisiana HotSauce. Meals arrive pretty quickly, though it wasn't busy at all either. Tried a cup of their Clam Chowder, nothing specialabout it; nor would I order it again. Decided on their Forest’s Seafood Feast whereas my best friend decided on their ShimpersHeaven. The shrimp was nicely breaded and seasoned. They weren’t dripping with grease either. The fish was perfect as well, lightly seasoned and I love that they came in strips. My meal came with Cocktail Sauce, Tartar Sauce and a small Coleslaw. MYfriend love all the shrimp and his came with Cocktail Sauce, Gravy and Honey Mustard Sauce. All was served on some homemadeseasoned fries. Now the fries were seasoned with cayenne pepper and it was delicious. But for parents with picky kids, make sureyou ask for fries with no seasoning. Was fun reading all the signs and watching people go by. Happy to return.
Really disappointed with our first and likely last visit to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. The 1 star is for the decorations, all of memorabilia and pictures from Forrest Gump the movie are awesome. The menu- SO DISAPPOINTING. You’d think that they’d havemany types of shrimp to choose from, nope! The menu was a laminated piece of paper, one side was all drinks, the other was apps& a few meals. It looked cheap. I get covid protocols but you’d think with the number of shrimp Forrest Gump lists in themovie there would be so much. There were 3 adults and 1 child for our table. We ordered the garlic peel shrimp as an app. Itwas delicious. Also got the garlic bread. It was quite burnt and hard, nothing special. We had to dip it in the garlic from theshrimp to eat it. We ordered a hamburger meal, a shrimp po boy meal, the shrimpers haven meal, and a chicken finger kids mealfor a 2 year old. Minutes after finishing the apps, the hamburger came out. Nothing else. We asked for the kids meal at leastbecause who eats in front of their kid? The rest of the food didn’t come out for a long time. By this time my friend went andspoke to the manager who laughed at him when he asked why the other meals hadn’t come out, saying “we’re busy”… therewere multiple tables open. There were multiple staff just standing in a corner at one point. Our friend could have finished theburger before we got the rest of the food but he decided not to eat. When the food finally came out, we had added the Mac andcheese to the kids meal and it wasn’t there..came out 5 minutes later. It was over cooked Kraft Dinner. We ended up sendingback the burger and the Kraft dinner. They took it off the bill but the whole experience sucked. The shrimp that we had wasgood, the whole dynamic just ruined it though. We had 3 different servers and no one introduced themselves or told us they’dbe taking care of us. We had never been there before and no one told us about the license plates on the table (red is when
Food wasn't as good as i expected it to be, unfortunately. Shrimp Po' Boy is dry and has too much bread. Same goes for their fish and chips. If you're looking for a seafood fix, I would not recommend this place. Do check out their store as they haveinteresting items there. Though the food was bad, Staff was really nice. They ensured we were taken care of and service wasreally quick.
I wasn't expecting a lot when I first walked in, the decor made me think they're completely relying on people coming in for the movie nostalgia and didn't expect much of the food. I was completely wrong. We ordered shrimp, salmon and steak, everything wasdelicious and cooked perfectly, the drinks were all great and we even got some commemorative cups haha, that's where they getyou with the movie nostalgia. The wait staff and bartender are amazing and very personable, I recommend going there just forthem.
