Daawat - Edmonton

I am so naturally addicted to Indian food..Instant 5 stars. this place is a jewel on 82 ave. once stopped with a friend and was actually quite surprised how amazing and fresh her eating was (they offer menu points and buffet)

Have often had the buffet. large vegetables available. many healthy decisions. on the weekend full to lunch buffet and dinner. different price for each buffet. all the buffet elements were marked every time clearly when I ate there. friendly, fleeting table service, polite, undisturbed. also love the Chai tea. I'm so hungry that I'm going to eat three tellers full of the buffet, but I think I'm full after one and a half-disc. naan their choice is included in the price of the buffet. a la carte menu available. ask for a la carte clear, comfortable Indian atmosphere. I used street parking, but I'm not sure they have a lot of them. the summer business hours for the restaurator can be later than the winter hours of the service.

I'm mainly coming here for the buffets. but the man is good. everything is marked and if they are not yet sure to ask the server. they are more than happy to let them know what is vegan and what is not. make sure you order naan without butter. the personal is always beautiful and the atmosphere is great.

I love dawaat, eating and service is great. I wish they had a little clearer label or ingredients. many things seem to be vegan, but the label says vegetarian. on their website, they list that they can absorb vegans, but then have meat in the same list that is confusing. I once ordered a nice dish and it had a good one. I think at this place it is important to be clear that they do not want any milk products in anything (if they are vegan).

This place is great, the food is always fantastic with a lot of selection. Although most of the dishes are vegetarian friendly, I think you might want to ask regarding vegan options. Nonetheless, the atmosphere in Daawat is lovely, the staff are very friendly and the food always keeps us coming back. It's one of our favourite places to eat in Edmonton. Buffet is the way to go, make sure to very hungry! :
