Hudsons Canadian Tap House - Edmonton

We met friends at this location, service was very good and prompt. I had the steak sandwich and it was one of the better I have had in recent months, not over bearing in species yet cooked the way I wanted (Medium rare) The Taco platter was huge nd the sliders were decent portions. Will return again

Second time to this Hudson's and I just wanted to say that our server was really good. She took it upon herself to tell us that happy hour was about to start and was very cheerful and polite. Definitely a positive experience.

A recent visit to this location, proved to me that location is sometimes more important to some customers than quality. My spouse had been here with a group meeting before I arrived, I sat off to the side to give them privacy, But even though the waitress looked after them just fine, she never once stopped by me to see if I even wanted a glass of water. After an hour, those who stayed on moved to a smaller table, and a new waitress. It took quite a while for the staff to get one bill completed and another started, then another wait for our new waitress to serve us. She was not a pleasant person, seemed rushed and not paying attention to our order, and when we questioned if she got it, she snipped back her response. It was a busy evening, but not a full house by any means. A few of us ordered food that came quite quickly, so the kitchen was on the ball. However the food was average at best, the sliders were ok, but the meat seemed almost more like meatloaf. Caesar salads were good, liked the addition of capers. The chicken wrap again was average, too filled with salad.Sometimes we accept average food for a price, but the pricing here is not cheap.

Great place for dinner after work or shopping at South Edmonton Commons. Great service and excellent atmosphere to relax or watch the game.

By no means is this your favourite Irish pub, but this does offer cheap beer on Thursday, I believe, and the food is always OK. Recommend to anyone in the area as a good meeting place for dinner. Likely no reservations needed.
