To our surprise, the staff, mostly young and well-presented ladies, were not only easy on the eyes but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. We took their recommendations and everyone in our group of six was pleased with their choices. The prices were typical for a downtown location, but the service was top-notch and we even had the opportunity to compliment the chef directly. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience and the total bill for six people, including drinks, was reasonable.
I took my spouse to Joeys Mayfield Common for dinner and it was fantastic. My spouse ordered the lobster ravioli and I had the grilled salmon. We were so impressed with our meals that we returned a week later.
My friend suggested we grab lunch here and I’m so happy she did. Nice atmosphere. Lots of parking. Varied menu and very decent pricing. Quick and attentive service....especially on behalf of the Manager who was helping out. I had the Buddha bowl with salmon. Absolutely...outstanding- the salmon was cooked perfectly. My friend had a chicken salad and loved it. The food was fresh and flavourful. Would definitely return and highly recommend.
We enjoyed the three-piece fish and chips with coleslaw at this restaurant and found the portions to be excellent! The service was also good.
My brother and father and I dine at the West end Joey' s restaurant often (at least once a week when I am in Edmonton). The atmosphere is open and spacious and noisy. I like the service from the servers, brown leather chairs, the wall...of wine, and the spacious seating area. There are booths and tables take your pick. There is also a bar that is always busy. We always go to the dining room because my dad has a hard time hearing anything in the noisy areas. The sushi is consistently wonderful. The lettuce wraps are very good. We get the wraps with chicken. They changed the recipe and are not overly generous with chicken. My dad has had the salmon dinner with mashed potatoes. It looked great. Sometimes we get a burger with fries. Consistently good. My brother often gets a oz glass of red wine. He says it is excellent. He always asks for a newly opened bottle and the servers happily deliver on his request. Some of the waiters remember us- very flattering. Typically the manager will stop by your table and ask if every thing is okay. I see that this is what happens at most tables. If you are rushed the servers will try to get your lunch out faster. If you would like a tasty meal in a great environment I vote for Joey's.
