This is a review just for their Tom Yum Goong and Tom Kha Goong soup.Tried their food last November and I enjoyed it. Today, I was craving a coconut soup, and I was right by them, so I looked up their menu. Saw that they did have what I was craving, so decided to treat myself. When I walked in, they had what looked like a new menu to me. So I grabbed on and sat down. Server was polite and greeted me. Took a look at the menu and I was firstly confused and then taken aback.Their Tom Yum Goong and Tom Kha Goong soups, both at $16.95 looked delicious but then it said it cost extra for noodles. Okay...that is a first. But then I saw that they were charging $3.95 for a small and $5.95 for a large portion of noodles. What in the world.... I understand that inflation is real but when I am able to get noodles for a fraction of the price anywhere else, this seemed just criminal. And this is just for the noodles on top of the cost of the soup. It would be over $20 for a bowl of soup. When the server came over, I did ask to be certain that they charge extra for noodles and he said yes. Asked if it was a new menu and he also said yes.I then did something I've never done before. I returned my menu to the front table where I got it from and left. Told the server I could not bring myself to spend that much for noodles to be in my soup. This is a first for me and I'm still reeling from it.Prices are going to change, I can understand that. But knowing I can get 3 to 4 servings of noodles from the grocery story for less than $3 and this restaurant expecting people to pay almost $6 for one serving, I simply can not support.
Food and service was really good! They cater especially to gluten free allergies.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
I had a great dining experience at this restaurant. The food was tasty and made with fresh ingredients, and the service was both friendly and attentive. My favorite dishes were the mango salad and the pad thai, as they had a delightful combination of sweet, sour, spicy, and savory flavors. The mango salad was particularly crisp and invigorating. I highly recommend trying it! The only dish that fell short for me was the pho, which seemed a bit lacking in flavor and too watery. I think it could benefit from more herbs and spices to enhance its taste and aroma. Despite this, I still enjoyed my meal overall and would eagerly return for another visit.
The food tastes pretty good and fresh, but it's a bit too expensive since the prices went up. $16 for fried rice, c'mon. I love the lemongrass coconut wok, but there's something weird about their onions. The onions are often chewy and don't break when you chew them. I have noticed this at least 4 separate times. The first time I just thought they used an old onion, but it's the same and over and over again. I was also disappointed that I ordered my wok with no mushrooms, but it came with mushrooms. Fine, but don't just take it back there and pick out the mushrooms. They didn't get them all out and I could obviously still taste the mushrooms.
