I have tried two dishes: bark meat and broccoli and garnelen pad Thai. both were quite good, I wish there were more sweet in the shrimp pad thai though. the prices are a step upwards from other places I have tried so that the food really necessary to impress me. the dame was very friendly. she asked me if I had been there before, and what I ordered at the last visit. she checked how I did that and what I thought of eating. no problem with the service! the service would have been bad, I might have thought not to come back and just go to mucho burrito. but she made enough difference that I will occasionally stop when I am in the opposite!
Vietnam noodle suppe chicken chowmein taste very good. I will certainly recommend the people there, the people are also friendly.
My coworkers and I have been getting Nam’s for lunch since it opened up on a regular bases. Food is made quick, hot and ready in a few minutes. Convenient. Their vermicelli and spring roll bowls are good. We decided to go there as a family couple days ago. They kids usually only like to eat their beef and veggie chow mein but their wok wasn’t working??? No problems, my girls are old enough and walked over to Edo. My husband shared a soup and beef salad rolls with my mother. My mom found a long black hair in her soup. When we quietly and respectfully showed the owner she quickly dismissed us and said it wasn’t hers or the cooks. We tried telling her it wasn’t ours either, but she paid no mind nor offered us a replacement. I think she rather lose a loyal customer than $12 for a soup. We got charged for the soup still which we just left on the table. So wrong! By the way don’t use their washroom it’s disgusting. I’ll be sure to share this experience with my coworkers and friends.
What makes their pho great is the soup base. If the soup base is great then all other ingredients will taste great. I have been going here for years everytime I have appointments in Northgate.
I go to Nam Kitchen regularly. There are multiple items I usually order. To start the fresh Chicken Salad Rolls are great, I love their peanut sauce that comes with them. Then I usually order either the BBQ Pork Vermicelli bowl with spring rolls or the Rare beef and meatball noodle soup! (Pho) Both are equally great! It's run by the owners and they are always really nice. There is ShawOpen wifi (if you're a shaw customer, other than that, sometimes I can connect to a weak #Telus free wifi)
