Runaway Spoon Bistro - Edmonton

The best pizza in Binbrook! My family and I have been loyal customers for the past 7 years because the pizza is consistently delicious. They are also very generous with the toppings.

This place is not very big, older period furniture but comfortable. Nice for an evening out in an intimate setting.

Arrive. 10 minutes before any service. 25 minutes: drinks arrive. Cup dirty—notified right away. 35 minutes: ask again for a cup. Hot drink in pot now lukewarm. 50 minutes: arrival food. One order completely wrong—no apology and no discount—inferred our fault. Suggested I keep it because, as was implied, too hard to fix. Bill arrives. Wrong total. New bill. Wrong total. Sigh. Food pedestrian. Table legs and sides completely filthy.

I emailed this restaurant on Wednesday to inquire about catering for Saturday. I still hadn't heard back by Thursday so I called to inquire. They told me the owner would call me right back but they never did. Come Saturday, we decided to just stop in and place our order. When we did, they said they were too low staffed and didn't have enough food. The order was only for appetizers for ten people. It was at noon on a Saturday and the restaurant was empty. I've had very few experiences of restaurants run this poorly. I would not recommend this place. I gave two stars because I ordered them from Skip the Dishes twice and the food was decent. Plus they offer gluten free which is always great to see. Other than that I would have given them zero stars and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I dont know wht this is listed as two restaurats..it is the sameplace as The Dish Bistro andis a nice place to go for a quiet lunch..altho I hear the patio is very busy on nice days!
