I used to be a fan, but in 2014, I got horribly sick after eating hereI believe the food was either not cooked well enough or may have been reheated.

I don't often review fast food places but really, the only reason these guys are considered "Fast Food" is because they're in the food court.

On July I ate at Shumka in Kingsway Mall with two friends who are recent immigrants from the Ukraine. I myself am half Ukrainian. All three of us were very disappointed with the food. This is not traditional Ukrainian food. The cabbage rolls were...plain with just rice stuffed inside. The perogies tasted like they came from a box from the store. When the western style fried chicken is the best thing on your plate it isn’t traditional Ukrainian food and certainly not what my friends and I grew up with. We won’t be back!!

Good food, excellent service. Strongly recommend. Went to get just perogies “varenuku”, ended up with full bag. Like that place.
