This place is one of my favourite places in Edmonton! Food is always tasty, prices are reasonable and service is good. I recommend this place to anyone.

I drove my son to school in the evening time and decided to try theTaipan cafe, which I have not visit for sometime. I looked at the menu mostly Cantonese food and some western dishes for morning breakfast only. The beef noodle soup and wanton noodle was only 8 dollars very cheap compare at other restaurant which was about 9 to 11 dollars. The order came quickly ,also very tasty.

Taipan is such a staple of Edmonton downtown Asian community. I know so many people who have stories of taipan late night, taipan lunch, taipan dinner, taipan tea and so on. it's been here a long time. It has a huge menu. It's VERY affordable. Musicians love it for the late nate when they finish their gigs. You never know who you will see there late at night. I always go for hot and sour soup. Always. Get a booth. On the window. Watching 101st no matter what time of day, is a joy. Lovely service. Parking on the street. Visit the nearby shops, you can buy baked goods, a tattoo, a skateboard, acupuncture, remedies and groceries. I love it.
