Chipotle Mexican Grill - Effingham

They were out of certain items which was fine, but they left half of my things off that they did have. When I went in they were rude, everyone was in a mood. Like it was my fault for existing and I should have known they were out of things and too busy. Iunderstand they were busy, I worked in the food industry for years, but it was just a bad experience. This was my first time ina Chipotle in years and it was a bummer. I had to go stand in the long line to get my food made correct. .. We did pick up(trying not to go in) because we were out of state heading home with three kids and it ended up taking so long.

The burritos are a great source of protein; I usually have two. The staff is decent, but they often run out of ingredients or aren't open when they're supposed to be, which makes me think there might be a staffing problem.

The food was excellent, but I had a few issues during my visit. The ice machine was out of ice, and the trash can outside was overflowing. Additionally, the tables hadn't been wiped down. When we asked the lady at the register about getting ice for two cups, she told my wife she could fill one but suggested my wife could just put some ice in the other cup. I was a bit disappointed with that service.

The portion of meat in the steak bowl was a bit small. Unfortunately, their register wasn't accepting Chipotle gift cards. On the positive side, the staff were polite and the restaurant was clean. They had cutlery available, but there were no sauces provided. We love Chipotle and consider it our comfort food due to its healthy options. However, they were out of Garlic Guajillo Steak, which has been our recent favorite. There's plenty of parking, and the location is convenient.

Read the previous reviews and was kind of scared going in, but the overall experience was good. Food was hot and the ordering process was quick and easy. Only negative was that the inside and parking lot were kind of messy.
