Door Artisan Cheese Company

This place is a fantastic choice for cheese in Door County. We stopped in for some tasting and shopping, and we were not disappointed! We were able to sample many excellent flavors and we purchased our four favorites the aged cheddar, Santa Fe cheddar, Parrano (a combination of Parmesan and Gouda), and an amazing Gouda infused with rosemary and basil. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the store is clean and well kept. The variety is great too I think there is something here for every cheese lover! We will definitely stop here again next time we're in Door County.

This place is legit. We had a great experience tasting their many cheeses and talking to their quality control staff. They were eager to give us samples and talk to us about the whole process of making their cheeses. Their cave was impressive, we had a great little tour and met their cheese cutter. Well worth a stop to get a a sense of what a top level cheese operation looks like.

I'm not afraid to spend money on quality cheese. But the staff was rude and disorganized. The sample they gave 2 of us to taste was smaller than the size of a lima bean. And they insuated we weren't there to buy. Just plain disgusted with the treatment we received over asking for 2 samples. So, I am not sure how you can maintain business of selling $30+ per pound cheeses without allowing people to actually try them and then being snotty on top of that.

Very clean place with very nice and knowledgeable staff. The cheese here is phenomenal.
